Help with pricing?

Surely as you knew that the clubs were worth a great deal more than what you paid for them from the charity shop and you didn't offer to give them a reasonable price and were immediatly looking at a price on what you could sell them for it looks like you are just trying to make a profit from a charity shop - it may not be illegal etc just morally doesn't sit right with some

The charity shop has there way of valuing items and when she got back to me thats the price she came too after doing her own research and following her price guide at the charity shop.

What would you have done? said no I want to pay you more? come on ! The shop was very happy with the price and I'm very happy too.
Lets live in the real world, as nice as it would have been to offer them more, 99% of people just wouldn't have

I appreciate if it doesn't sit well with you, but id appreciate this conversation to end, Ive have more then enough unpleasant comments on the other thread I started and I am close to messaging the admins about it.

Im just thinking about selling some gold clubs.

To be honest I probably wouldnt have come onto the forum saying I have just bought some irons from a charity shop for £140 and does anybody want to buy them for £250.

Yes I would have suggested they are worth more and of selling very recently after purchasing and gaining a good amount of profit would over the charity shop the profit gained.

Maybe that's just me that would do that

Nothing wrong with being opportunistic, but to at least make a reasonable donation so that both parties make some financial gain wouldn't hurt. Otherwise it's just blatant greediness.

The Charity Shop has already made £140 from an investment of zero - a donation! It's highly likely to be a very large enterprise paying a select few rather large salaries (> 100K), while paying no tax (in fact, extracting further tax from 'the system'), very low business rates and with a largely volunteer actual work-force!

It's obligatory to re-sell that 'bargain' - once deemed no improvement on existing kit - preferably on Ebay so that they can pay tax on their take (a golfing mate is actually paid lots of money to minimise that of course, but that pays his Golf Club fees and allows him to be a 'proper golf club Ho')! And, of course, the proceeds will be used to purchase further kit to make, again through Ebay, so that the cycle can be repeated. It's how to make the economy really work - Spawn's contribution to Quantitative Easing!
