Have you ever?

NO! cheating in my eyes! opps, 3 putted that, not in the right frame of mind so il take it again, 1 put, ah yes thats better!
NO DIFFERENCE!!

This is a wind up right? Please tell me it's a wind up?
I asked that earlier mate & was expecting yea it is im just kidding ... crikey the two others must be as bad , im dumbfounded by this post .. Has to be wind up? hasnt it? seriously .. :D :D sure just put down the score you had hoped to get on the 1st 2 holes & move on that should get any1 in the right frame of mind.. if thats the rules you play to man

Brilliant!

In a round about way I can see where the kid is coming from, however the difference in what makes this cheating is that the round had been started in the first place. Once you hit that first tee shot there is no going back. It might be seen differently if 36 holes were played in the day. I also feel i would have been seen differently if Blade said that he walked off the course. Went away for a few hours and then played. The crazy thing is that this card is being handed in!

I've played in comps where I've been useless on the range and by the first tee I'm a bit better. Surely if your the kind of player who needs a few holes to get started you'd practice before teeing off!!!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but other than getting my handicap, I've never handed in a scorecard which wasn't in a competition. I certainly wouldn't run into the clubhouse if it was going to reduce my handicap (bandit :)) I'd assumed that the majority of golfers want to reduce their handicap, but in the same case want to win comps, so as far as I see it the only way my handicap is coming down is if I smash the course in a comp!??

Had 82 at my course on thursday after shooting 94 somewhere else. Did I hand it in? Did I feck!

Sorry Dave mayb im reading this wrong , do you think the OP was mine :D :D :D?? ive replyd to it but the OP is belonging to PULL .. :D :D

Whoops, I blame the picture.

Sorry mate I meant the other kid! The one who just picks and chooses his scores

I think he's getting confused because you both have the same avatar.
yeah mayb so but thankfuly not the same ideas ha ha , i thought this was a wind up , bad enough 1 guy thinking it ok , but playing partners let it happen & signed card aswell , mad

I took an 8 on our par 3 first in a medal once and would love to have walked back and started again. Sorry. Wasn't quite with it chaps. Won't keep you a mo while I wander back and give my jolly old Srixon another bash.

Irrespective of the fact its cheating plain and simple, any horror holes would have been adjusted to a double at the end for handicapping anyway. You need to learn "how to get your mind right" if you have a bad start as you won't get away with it once you play with other members or in club comps. I have to say, family members or not I wouldn't have signed your card. If anyone had seen what you did and then seen whoever signed your card doing so then it is going to give them a rather unwanted reputation as well.

I've got this image in my head of a cuckoo clock.

Play the first, run back to the 1st tee, hole out, still not good enough, back we go!

Cuck ooooo.....arse a 7, Cuck ooooooo.

I did similar to this with my 3rd handicap card. Started really badly, had a 6 down the 1st (par 4) and a 7 down the 2nd (difficult par 4).
Sod it, I thought. I normally play better than this.
So I packed in, got a fresh scorecard out of the pro shop, and went up into the bar for a pint.
While I sat there I went through my round logically, working out what I should have done and filled in the scorecard accordingly while I enjoyed my pint. I shot a nett 61 and equalled the course record.
Two birdies (because I always knocked it close at 7 and 10) and nearly had an eagle at 12 as my PW approach hit the flag. Two putt par though.
That was one of the best rounds of my life and I didn't even fancy playing that day. My mate agreed it was the best he had seen me play for ages, and duly signed my card.

I hope that's your tongue firmly in your cheek and not something else unmentionable....!!

Unbelievable...

If it was just a knock around with family or mates then as long as they're happy with it then no harm done. But to hand it in is just plain wrong.
PLay the holes 1-18, hand your card in - pretty simple innit? :D

Well, i'm sure that if Pull won the first medal he played in because his handicap was ten shots higher than it should be you'd all be calling him a bandit.

/devil's advocate.

1st you hand in 3 cards, usually your best is taken so if it was that bad it would be ignored anyway.

2nd, the worst you can get on any hole for h'cap purposes is a double bogey so off 18 that's not gonna make much difference either
