Haney and Woods split????

Butch Harmon would be mental to go back to Tiger.
The wheels are rapidly falling off the Tiger Woods bandwagon. He is a sullen, grumpy, condom-less, conceited, boring, divorced, stage managed, pathetic, arse and the sooner he disappears up his own 4r5e the better for us all. we will be able to watch some golf without it being interrupted to see T W arriving at the course, TW talking to his coach, sorry ex-coach, TW kissing his wife, sorry ex-wife, TW putting on his shoes, TW walking to the first tee, T W teeing off and every shot until he finishes the round and missing the cut. :D

totally agree here. even when tiger plays cr*p he gets way too much coverage. he acts like a spoilt brat on the course, spitting and swearing and generally sticking his finger up at the values of the game of golf. i think the game of golf wouldn't miss him in the slightest if he never came back. he's actually quite boring to watch.

Utter drivel!!!!

To even entertain the idea in your head that the game can do without its number 1 player is insane at best.

Tiger draws the crowds, he draws the money, he draws the TV deals etc etc, your notion that the game wouldnt miss him is absolutely proposterous......go and stand in the corner, give your head a shake and think about what you've just said.

so there were no big crowds at tournaments before tiger, no tv deals, no big checks for the winners? it's as if the game of golf didn't exist before tiger. the game has plenty of golfers who can take over tiger's mantle. yes, the guy is probably the best golfer ever, but football goes on without pele, maradona etc. i personally get bored watching the guy when even his mediocre rounds are shown in full on tv. also, has there ever been a more undeserving personality who has been given the great gift that he has?

after all is said, don't believe the hype......

Just a thought.

John Daly was a fantstic young golfer when he made his beakthrough. But he had weaknesses of the soul, and turned to sins of the flesh to satisfy his unnatural, deviant, needs.

The next time we saw his turgid body he had distended into the antithesis of his former self, and he has been fighting his demons ever since, never to repeat his previous successes.

Tiger showed at the Masters that he still had the will to succeed. But since then, his wife has publicly left him, his family has fallen apart, his swing has divorced him and is trying a new relationship with Rory.

And now his coach has publicly humiliated him by withdrawning his services, sexual or otherwise.

Is that enough to break any mans iron will ?

Tiger says that by rediscovering his religious beliefs, he is working on overcoming his perversities, with the aim of re-entering civilisation, His soul needs the immoral devils of sin and self pleasure to be ripped ceremoniously from his evil heart before he can ever consider himself normal again.

But what if it is too late ?

What if the demons need to be satisfied ?

What are the chances that the next time we see Tiger at the Open, we will see a man changed forever. ?

Is it posible that Tiger will turn up with a distended belly hanging 6" over his XXL Farahs ? His unshaven face withdrawn onto it's own skeleton, with two depraved eye sockets staring vacantly into space. His caddy would by now be nothing but a brassy tart paid to give him relief after every three putt.

All the while he's shuffling and mumbling to himself 'I was entitled'

Utter drivel!...your notion that the game wouldnt miss him is absolutely proposterous

Come on Keith, I don't remember the game collapsing in 2008 when he wasn't playing. In fact, weren't the attendances and viewing figures for The Open actually up that year?

People *might* miss him. The game absolutely will not.

Attendences for The Open may have been up but that definitely wasn't the trend across the board. Course attendances, viewing figures and subsequently purses across the board on the US Tour were down in comparison with the years previous.

The game will miss him without doubt!

I thought this post was about leaving his coach, and whether that was a good thing, not yet another boring debate about whether Tigger is good for the game or not?

tiger will be back with or without haney. as someone said, far too much going on in his life just now.
without the wife and kids he has nothing but golf, once elin does go, he will be re-focused on his first love!
I for one hope its soon, yeah, hes arrogant, but show me a top TOP sportsman that isnt!
And yeah, i reckon he will go back to harmon!

also, has there ever been a more undeserving personality who has been given the great gift that he has?

Would you care to clarify this point?? ;)

certainly. he has been awarded with a great gift for striking a golf ball (not his gift for bedding women :D).when you compare his attitude to the other greats in golf like nicklaus, watson and mickelson etc, his attitude stinks to the high heaven.

eg: when a 5 live commentator asked him for a quick interview afer finishing a round, tiger said,"how much will you pay me?". i can't think of too many other golfers who would say something like that. he has no redeeming aspects to his character. even faldo, who wasn't known for his friendliness, wouldn't sink to the depths of rudenss that tiger plunges to on the golf course.

he behaves like a spoilt brat. i've no idea why the guy is so popular. he's impossible to warm to. i've noticed sergio has started to act the maggot on the golf course aswell, throwing clubs around and crying like a girl after a bad shot. i hate petulence in a sportsperson. it would be a disaster for the game if golf bacame full of prima donnas who act like the footballer christiano ronaldo. that would be the day i would stop watching golf on tv.

The problem I have here is that I tune in to watch professional sportspeople for one reason and one reason only - to see them play their chosen discipline. I'm not too bothered how they do it, I just want to see them doing it.

The best footballer I've seen for many years was Zidane. I don't think I ever saw him smile whilst on the pitch. He wanted to win and that was his way. Would the fact that he never smiled stop me from watching him - no.

In cricket there has been the surlier players but they were a joy to watch.

I think the comparison with golfers of yesteryear is a bit unfair. Nicklaus, etc never had the media instrusion that our sports stars of today have to contend with. We've no way of knowing whether Nicklaus, etc enjoyed the ladies because the press was different back then. Now, TW, etc pass wind and it's all over the front page of the Sun.

This means that our sportspeople are more withdrawn when in the public eye. Their PR people tell them what to say so that there's no come back.

With regards TW's on course attitude, I agree, it's not the best but then, if I was trying to keep >100 women, my Wife and kids happy then I'd be struggling to control my emotions as well!!!

The spoilt brat tag is justified I guess but then he's lived a life unlike you and I. From the age of 2 he's been branded as something special - unique, if you will. I think any child would struggle to deal with that and grow up 'normal'. It's a bit like Michael Jackson in some ways.

I think it's very easy to look at TW and put him in our lives - then make statements like "he's a pro golfer, the best in the world, doing a job that we'd all love, married to a beautiful woman, why isn't he smiling on the course?" He'll only smile when he's truly happy - from his actions over the past couple of years and all that's unravelled over the past few months - he's clearly a long way from happy.

I think the Woods petulance, shagging prowess and general demeanour have beein flogged to death on here recently. For my money though he's the best player of this generation and I'll always watch the best of their chosen sports compete. I can't remember the likes of Souness, Boycott and even Steve Davis in their heyday exactly winning any awards for their wit and repartee before during or after a game.
