Been playing 5 years.
Took a couple of weeks to break 100
An other couple to break 90
And about a year to break 80
Got down to 14 in the first year I played, went down to 12 start of the next year and was stuck on that till this year

Jesus logged back in after 23 hours of OP and can't believe the amount of responces! Was posted more out of interest for what sort of targets I should be setting. Until this year I'd only played a few 9 hole par 3's but started getting a bit more serious about 6 weeks ago (just realised I chose the complete wrong time of year!!)... played 5 full rounds now and from a dismal 134 first time my last round was 115 and thats with shocking old clubs... just order some new ones and hoping the modern tech will help cut out the duff shots and the 100 won't be too far away.

From the replies so far it seems anywhere from a day to a year to break a hundred so I've got time yet!!
