Are spin milled wedges going to be banned under the USGA's groove ruling that comes into effect for professional's next year?
I'm thinking of getting a spin milled wedge but I think there's no point getting one that the pros don't use

For amateurs the change is a long long way off - your wedges will be worn out long before then.

There are rumours the rule could be delayed. Manufacturers are having real difficulty in production with the tight specifications imposed by the new rule.

For amateurs the clubs would be allowed to 2025 (I think). So I would just go ahead and buy one. If you must only use what the pro's are using i would hang off buying one for a while

Yeah pro's won't be using them from January 1st.
Although it's only the grooves changing shape (square to V), i guess Bob Vokey will still have the face milling????

If your only buying what the pro's use.....how are you getting on with that 8.5 degree driver with the extra stiff shaft????? ;)
I don't buy what the pro's use (very forgiving irons in the set!) but I just think what's the point using something the pros aren't allowed to use...it's a bit like we are cheating.

...but the 8.5 degree driver going very well :D
