Greg Norman

Me too, regardless of the fact I have money on Fisher who is a few places behind.

What a performance. I think the weather has helped him, he is plotting his way around the course hitting low 4 irons only 140 yards bouncing them onto the green, I doubt if many of today's new stars would be able to do this as we have seen over the last few days.

Also seems like a great bloke.

I'll be shouting for Greg....why not....it would be amazing for him....somehow I think the back 9 will be too scary if he's there coming down the stretch.
Well done also to KJ....don't know the man, but he's a solid golfer.
I've not given up hope for a good few just off the pace. It'd be good to see Ross Fisher or Simon Wakefield be there at the end....
and Davis Love....where's he appeared from....the old Tommy Armour 845 man....and such a great swing.

I followed him round in his prime and he was awesome in those days, IMHO only Ballesteros was better. I will be so glad if he can pull it off and finally get rid of the choker tag which he so doesn't deserve.

agreed with all the above...he deserves to win it after his brushes with Larry Mize and Faldo...
Tell us more Hellbunker. I've heard nothing about this although Faldo is known to be ''not a nice chap''.

Did anyone notice that on the first day Greg was using Cleveland, yet today he was back to MacGregor

No but Harrington aint using the Pi7 irons he has been going on about at every opportunity.

My dream team was looking good for a while with Garcia, Furyk and McDowell handily placed. Oh well, at least HID as Fisher in hers.

I think it is good to see Norman doing so well (and Chris Evert is still damn hot) and hope he does well tomorrow although I'll be honest enough to say I'll be cheering Harrington and the home based boys

Norman has had a lot of play-off losses in majors in his career . In fact , he's the only player to have ever lost a play-off in EVERY major tournament.

He had a 6 shot lead on the last day at Augusta but lost it to Faldo , he lost a Masters play-off to Mize after Mize had a 45yd chip-in on the 2nd extra hole and Bob Tway holed a bunker shot to beat Norman in the 1986 US PGA champs.

I think his experience had really played a part over these last 3 days .

p.s And i think the problem with Faldo is that he was so focused on his game , he was seen as a bit aloof. When interviewed and when commentating , he seems like quite a funny , affable chap.

Not so sure he has lost in a USPGA OR US Open play off so doubt your claim.(stand corrected forgot re losing to that *** azinger!)
Norman was a hero of mine and one memory is of him on the final day at Troon when I followed him round the final 18 and he birdied the first 7 and lipped out on 8 for birdie!!He was a guy alot of people would pay money to watch up there with Seve for me.
Just an awesome golfer in his prime and would be superb to see him triumph but just cant see it,fear the old flailing shot to the right may reappear at some stage tomorrow!

Its absolutely amazing to watch - great viewing! Who said the viewing would be less entertaining with no Tiger in the field?!?!?

Norman with the 2 shot lead is a great starting position for him, although I hear the weather is supposed to be better today? I can see Harrington putting in another solid round and catching Norman. I reckon Choi is going to fade. Will be hoping for a close finish.

I'm hooked on it for sure. Cannot wait to get home from work to get back into it tonight (damned Fri & Sat weekends!!)

Tway holed a greenside bunker shot in '86 which nailed shut a certain PGA major for Norman; then the following year Mize chipped in from 45yards in the Masters playoff...and in '89 he went into the final round of the Open but drove into a bunker on the final hole allowing Mark C to snatch the jug...and finally to Faldo...Greg blew a 6 shot lead in the '96 Masters and allowed Faldo to win by 1 shot...a meltdown that started global warming. The problem was that Faldo was less than gracoius after the victory, this compounded by Greg didn't cope well, this added to the frost between the men...so to speak. I saw them interviewed togther on ABC? where they kissed and made up...
GO GREG....

You've got to hand it to Norman - 3 very steady rounds in that weather!!!??? Everyone else has had at least one bad round so far - I just hope Greg's isn't today.

By the way - I bet noboby picked him in the Fantasy league??? I bet he's not even in the list...........

Go on Shark - Bite their legs off

It would be brilliant if he were to win. Did anybody notice a patch of regret from Nick Faldo at not playing this year when discussing Normans position, you could tell he was thinking that it could have been him at the top- he seemed somewhat envious to me.

Brilliant performence by the Shark. After he finished T3 he will receive an invitation from Augusta, I hope he is going to play!
