Got my first cut

After scoring like i knew i could in the monthly medal yesterday i've received my first handicap cut from 25 to 23.9 (does this mean i'm a 24 for comps?).

Played good solid golf for the most part with 4 pars and mostly bogeys. Couple of bad holes with a 7 & 8 as well though

I'm glad i could finally show that i can play the game, as any medal i've played up til now i've just plain and simple let myself down.

So, yesterday, i won the C division category and came 5th overall, with a gross 89 and net 64. First time i have broke 90 off the medal tees as well

Here's hoping i can continue it on into the club C champs tonight... only time will tell.

Having taken up the game just over a year ago, i feel progress is being made

the weather was shocking yesterday morning when we played! it was blowing a hard north east wind and the rain made a few appearances as well. It was also a chilly 10ºC!!!
