Goodbye membership - £125 increase is simply too much!!

Bit like increasing tax free allowance and halving child care allowance - nett result: hand deeper into your pocket, but some mitigating news to put at the top of the newsletter!!

(Doh - must avoid politics, this is a relaxing hobby - calm, calm!!!) Grrrrrrr!!!!!

No membership for me this year, going to take some time out and just play a few 'friendlies' with fellow forumers that invite me for a game.

With the money you have saved, you can always come to Turkey with us - and you'll have change left to spend on anything you like!

James if you ever fancy a day in South Wales give me a shout, ill gladly play a round with you.

Appreciate the offers guys, can't see me playing much this year, my body just aches!.... and what doesn't ache is already broken! :mad: It's probably a Godsend that I'm not renewing my membership this year. A couple of forum meets and half-dozen local rounds and that'll be it for me this year I reckon.

Going fishing on Thursday. Stream Valley in Crowborough.
Beautiful 3 acre lake, tranquil and it will be a real pleasure just sitting on the bank listening to the wildlife and breathing fresh air.
£15.00 day ticket (7am - 7pm) and believe me, hooking into, playing and landing a 25lb Carp gives me as much pleasure as canning a 20ft putt or knocking a 7 iron to 5 feet.
Had 4 out last week (smallest was 12lb, largest was 19) and 5 the week before that (had a real clonker but my scales were playing up so couldn't weigh it) but reckon it beat my current personal best of 25lb 11oz by some margin.
Off to France in June with a mate and my daughter for a week. Cottage rental and exclusive lake use for £175.00 each for the week. Carp to 45lb.
Cushty.
:whistle::whistle::whistle:
