Looking for a new putter have seen some possibles (inc the Spider)but want to try them on a putting green rather than some plastic grass in a store.

Does anyone know of anywhere around the NW that has one?

Any reasonable pro shop at your local club should have a range of equipment and a practise green. Give him a ring and see what they have in stock. I am becoming an advocate of keeping my local pro in business rather than the local stores or online shopping

Hi. gjbike,

What did you think of the Leyland course,I live 10 minutes away but have never played it,I`m told its a bit flat & boring, but I might give it a go.

Cheers for that I have tried ringing a few pro's but they don't seem to have an extensive range will try AG in warrington
Fore, give Direct Golf on the Wirral a ring as well. I haven't been there, but I'm sure there's actually a golf course attached, so they might have a proper putting green too? Might be closer as well.

Direct golf? Wirral? how ave i missed that?

Google.... search....

Me and Dave (realgolferuk) where at clays range in wrexham the other day and that was impressive. They have loads of stock, good driving range, good (all be it) indoor putting room and i think its actually a mizuno fitting centre too.

Worth a visit if you have the time. The build clubs there i beleive. And i should imagine they have some decent demo days too. Nike where there when we went with bags and bags and bags full of clubs!

I'd give a shout to DG.....after yesterday! Could be the new AG but with better deals on older stuff....

Teetime, I am currently having a series of lessons at Leyland and fancy playing the course in the next month or so midweek. I will give you a shout if you fancy joining me. See if we can get a fourball from the forum.
