I have been and both landmarks are as striking as you would hope. (I took a lot of pictures that day)

I was also going suggest the Turnberry lighthouse / Aisla Crag combo. All the American ones look gimmicky to me so I’m not counting them. And St Andrews should only be allowed the one, so my other nominations:

My mate played there off the tips last year and managed a 78. The lads he was playing with played off the "normal" tees and it looked like they were a good 100 yards ahead of him most holes .
