Golf travel bags

I've had a Sun Mountain bag, not sure which model, for lots of years and many trips.
It's still working superbly well.

Interesting. When my old John Letters travel bag (best one I've ever had) finally bit the dust I bought a Sun Mountain one, on the basis it was a reputable brand. It was pants, and fell apart very quickly. (Now have a MacGregor one which seems ok)

I’ve used the cheap Dunlop bag from sports direct for at least 15 years and it’s still going strong

I’m gradually coming to the conclusion that there aren’t really any guarantees of years of durability unless you’re paying £200+! My pal bought the same macgregor bag as me at the same time, same trip, his was fine, mine was ripped, so I guess a lot of it comes down to luck and the baggage handlers!

I think I’ll buy one for £50ish off Amazon just before we go and if it rips, send it back, they’re usually easy when returning goods.

I dont understand why people buy cheap inferior products to protect their golf clubs, especially when you see how bags are handled both automatically and manually.

Buy the best not the cheapest.
