Those first two holes are sublime. Can't believe how low the green fee is for such a cracking course.

Apart from the first two, the 11th that follows the coastline of Barnhill Bay is a fantastic golf hole.
457 par 4 but with a burn running through it at 250ish really makes you think and tests the long approach shots.

PGA pro at my local top tracer range/golf complex always takes the time to talk to you and ask how the games going etc. Genuinely interested not just trying to hook you back in for another lesson. He exudes passion for the game. A top guy aswell.

But then in Fife it’s poor value as it’s double the price of a season ticket at St Andrews which covers 6 courses

I played there a few years ago after a recommendation from someone on the forum.
Loved the views standing on the 1st tee it’s a great opening hole, enjoyed the second as well especially as I hit the green and my brother put his into the sea

It’s only 150y typically but 140 of those are over the water (or the rocks if the tide is out) and the green is high up. Good golf hole though.

We have got our annual charity match tomorrow against the other main winter society. 4bbb matchplay with teams of 50 - the pro’s are all playing as well as the clubhouse manager and green keeper to make up the numbers. Big raffle (mainly booze and balls) afterwards and the club usually puts some things up for auction. Always a great day and weather looks to be playing ball as well

Had a superb day watching the Rose series golf at the simply wonderful Formby Ladies golf club. Short track but very tight could make the best player very ordinary.

They lost on 17th, to two 40 something handicappers who played well below! Inc a gross birdie on a tough par 3
(Greensomes) Had to give them 24 shots!
