Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

I can agree with that. Had a fitting and wouldn't have even thought about Ping. Ended up with the i530's and S159 wedges. Fairway and driver didn't suit me when I had that fitting though. So not a full bag Ping man
One of our group is not only a full bag Ping man, he is fully dressed Ping man as well 🤣

Dry bank holiday weekend. Lots of rain midweek while I'm in the office (course needs it). Forecast dry and sunny for this weekend. Usually it's the complete opposite.

I'm off to Scotland for the next 5 days where it looks like it could rain the whole time. ☹️
Maybe depends where in Scotland you're going, at Dunbar (which admittedly is about as far east as you can go) we're already pumping gallons of water on the course, we're approaching height of summer conditions already and it's only April, haven't had any substantial rain for what seems like ages, I think the greenkeepers are probably praying for rain

Tell the Mrs they didn't approve the leave... Stay home play golf in the nice weather... Problem solved 🙂

Playing in a fourball yesterday, the first fourball out were 2 x KO games. One of the guys was in a greenside bunker and as we were walking past he must of knobbed his first shot, possibly second anyway he then went into a 30 second rant slamming his clubs into the floor. I was wetting myself laughing. I nee said anything. When we finished the hole one of the lads said. “ Glynn didn’t sound happy”. We had all heard him no one said anything at the time and we were laughing our heads off. Unfortunately the first fourball all had gone home by the time we had got to the 19th so we couldn’t say anything.

Last week, we were absolutely thrilled to host a Faldo’s Future Qualifying Event – and what a fantastic day it was!
⛳️

Junior golfers lit up the course with incredible skill, sportsmanship, and composure over a specialised, shortened version of our front 9. A huge well done to George, Aahil, Laura, Elsa, and Alessandro – our standout winners!
🌟
👏

Big thanks to all players, families, supporters, and our amazing team who made the day so special. We’re already looking forward to hopefully welcoming the event back next year!

First competition in a year for me, game and head was in a terrible mess, was just trying to hard, have been playing really well of late, so here’s hoping for something decent today 😀

Mother in law is having the kids this weekend

Managed to get booked onto a tee time Sunday am

It's the monthly medal, my first ever weekend round and My first ever medal

Boom

Oh dear. It's not for the faint of heart. My 23 handicap mate refused to play medals after a while and only entered Stablefords.

Make sure you hit plenty of provisionals with your gorse bushes.

Best advice: hit it like you stole it off the adjacent fairway :p
