Personally i`m looking to get out more to play, less range more play hopefully getting in two rounds a week(weather permitting) and shooting consitant low mid 80`s rounds by the end of summer,I`m also going to have a more simplistic approuch to golf(tried the tech way and drove myself mad!) and use Ben Hogans Five lessons modern fundamentals of golf book which I have been told is the key to this great game ;) and maybe get some seniors caddying in .Good luck whatever your golf targets are for 2012.

Just to play more consistently, enjoy it more, and as I have a 10 week holiday after exams, get my handicap down to 15 or lower !

My targets are quite simple really. Enjoy enjoy enjoy and not beat myself up if it goes wrong and then enjoy my golf some more. Simples

I'd like to get down to 6 but I'll be happy to stay around the 8 mark.

I'd quite like to win another honour board comp but, once again, no great shakes if I don't.

I'd also like to better my 10th place finish in the Sunday swindle OOM.

Not too many targets then......... :D

hi,,a word of advise ,,try to get only 1 or 2 coaching lessons just for the basics in grip ,stance & swing that you will need to practice for a good 6 months,,,,i started playing golf 4 month ago with no lessons then i had lessons & it put 20/30 yards on my shots & my alignment is much better

for me i love the game when the ball go,s where i aim it & thats 4/10 so fare

Once I get a lesson and cure the demons surrounding my short game then I'm confident my game will be in good enough shape to shave a few shots off. I'd like to get to 9 or 10 but not hung up on it. If I'm honest I'd just like to consolidate the work I've put in on the range, get more consistancy and play as much as I can and enjoy it whether its good or bad.

Other than that, win the winter knockout with Hawkeye, bag a club comp or two, ideally honour board events, go to a few forum meets and just have fun

To start playing again!! - just returning back to gole after several (8 years) away, spent that time doing triathlons and marathons but old football injuries are taking their toll on knees and achilles so have dug the clubs out and been down the range a few time, but found out driver is now illegall.

Looking for a club to join and some new playing partners, get a handicap sorted and see how low it can get it

Well to be honest after doing this to my shoulder in September I will be happy to be playing again by the end of the summer, let alone shooting in the 70's

Apparently the collar bone is meant to be connected at that joint not sat in the air.
Been told it could be anther 6 months until it will be strong enough to play golf.

Ouch!

Hope you make a good recovery MadAdey :)

Patience and learn to play the course the way I can score. Did it today and shot a new pb a 91 scoring 38 points. Next year I want to keep it simple, play clever and hopefully the handicap will drop this way.

Performance-wise the aim is to get to a 12 handicap. I'm confident that with lessons and plenty of practice I'll get there and will be on target in year 3 of the 5 year plan.

Playing wise - to enjoy the process (of course) and to make the trip to Scotland and hopefully play the Old Course and some newer ones !
