I found a program that you download from the internet called scoresaver 2. It records all your data, GIR, FIR, putts, scrambles etc. Then it turns them into statistics and shows you your strengths and weaknesses. you tell it the data and it records it. you tell it the direction you missed a fairway or green then it shows you what percentage of fairways and greens you miss in what direction. a free download worth getting. i will send my data to anyone who wants to know more via email if you request it.

Definitely. The designer of the system was/is a member and I've had it for years and in my opinion the best programme out there. Add in functions like recording practice and lessons and with a price you can't quibble with what's not to like?

Sounds good, have you got a link to it?

its great, imagine how much the owner would make if they charged. I recorded a practice session on it today which is great because you set yourself times to do certain things for instead of just being a range rat and hitting balls all over the place! i only just got the program yesterday and cant wait to enter more rounds into it. It makes me concentrate more on the course because i dont want to ruin my stats.

Sounds like to much hard work

I'm not really focused on stats anyway.

HDIDO do enough detail for me

At home ? Once I'm at home the game of golf is finished - done and dusted.

They did charge but for various reasons have decided to put it out as a free option.

We made it free in April 2013 because it is a old-school Windows program and doesn't run in a browser or on a iPad or a Mac or on Android or mobile. Doesn't make it a bad piece of software but does limit its potential market. There is an option to donate via PayPal (which a few people have done) but in order to make it a sustainable business we would have to re-write it for today's multi-platform online world. I'm glad to hear that some pople are still finding it useful.

Im not one for stats, you must already know that you missed a load of fairways or greens and took lots of putts?

you would be surprised. A client I am working with thinks he is an excellent pitcher and a poor driver. We tracked his scores and found he hits 3/5 good pitch shots on average and 2/5 good drives. Not much in it so really it is down to perception of ability rather than the hard facts.

It may not be for some people to track their stats but for others it is an important part of how they learn and improve.

I kind of feel the same. The bottom line is know what your bad at and practice that. I guess if you need a diagram to help ID that then cool but I think if you review your last few games in your mind you should know where you fall down.
