Let‘s face it : My swing sucks !

Don’t do yourself a disservice, we’re all a work in progress with our golf games. We’re just all at different stages of that journey

Even the greatest in the world make changes to sneak that bit extra, as Amateurs were no different we just need that extra bit of help.

I know.

What makes it so frustrating is that in theory I know everything. I can explain it to you or even train someone - as long as I don‘t have to show (and proove) that knowledge in practice … !

P. S.: Todays netto results (9 holes) : 11 points … !
But I keep an honest count of my strokes: every air swing, every penalty stroke - everything!
Anything else would just be self-deception.

The Scottish Open will now only be at the Renaissance Club until 2030, an absolute travesty in my opinion, we have loads of World class courses were it can be held, I’m taking nothing away from the course, I just think it should go to different courses around Scotland.

Agree 100%. Getting very dull there. I say that even though it is only 10 minutes from my house.
Love to see it back at Royal Aberdeen, Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie etc.

Got to my local driving range and he tells me none of their Trackman is working today. I toyed with the idea of turning around and driving out to the TopTracer range that's further away, but he was already ringing it up and I was too lazy and too polite to leave. Instead I asked "oh is there a discount on balls then?" And he replied "Afraid not - I never put the price up when I got the Trackman in, I should've done really." Ok then.

In all fairness to him, he came over halfway through my session and gave me about 20 extra balls in the end. Given that I had no Trackman to use, I ended up using the last 30-odd balls working on short game, so I could aim at the various flags and targets, and it was actually a really good session as the chipping feel I found the other night was working nicely. So I couldn't really complain in the end - which is another irritation in itself.

Having played in the Tuesday swindle where only one person scored or than 30 points I expected to see a PCC.
This morning I checked and found only 3 players had put in a GP card. I think a word with the organiser is needed, I had asked him if we needed to put in cards as we were playing the 9 hole course with tined greens and he said yes.

Agree with the bolded parts above. Annual membership dues do not cover most clubs' total expenses (may be so at Augusta National and a few other very private clubs).

I’m sure the vast income from the Masters covers all of Augusta’s expenses

Weather has been lovely recently as long as you play in the afternoon.

On Friday I got into my car at 8am and the temperature was 3 degrees but when I played golf in the afternoon it was 20 degrees

Not rained for ages. At this rate it won’t be long before we hear talk of water shortages.

4 ball medal and stableford.....invariably it's just too damn slow for me.
Played with the Society on Thursday, it took 4 1/2 hours for a 6300 yard course as a 4 ball.
The trouble is that playing, walking a d then standing for extended periods does my knackered knee no good at all.
If I keep moving then I can get round relatively pain free during and after the game...even a long one.
A slow 4 1/2 hour round leaves my knee burning and not in a good place.
Haven't been able to do much since and golf tomorrow isn't a foregone conclusion...

Put something in basket, added code, great......or so I thought.
Jumped in shower, went back to phone, to checkout, code no longer works. Price nothing like the offer, and that was at 7pm, supposed to be on until midnight.

The site now shows tomorrow's deal, which is 20% off wedges, im guessing its got something to do with time zones etc....but not happy!!

Have emailed customer services, with screenshot of item and of the code not working, but that normally takes a lifetime to get a reply, so not confident of getting an outcome
