Oddly enough the person that proposed it is a mid/ high handicapper.
What I will Say is that the lower
Handicappers want everyone to play off the white pots. Average age of the fuddle is about 60 plus.

Why can't everyone play off their tee of choice using their course handicap (or 95% of it) from that tee? That would seem sensible, especially in a fuddle.

I think the problem is that when everyone started in the fuddle they started off on there handicap and cuts etc come from there. The odd thing is re my handicap is yesterday i played off my fuddle handicap of 20 yet my WHS HCAP is 17.

That's where I think some of these groups with different handicaps are silly. At the roll-up at my place you play your proper handicap but it you finish in the top 3 you're simply docked a point or two for a limited number of weeks, before returning back to your index. Works well in my opinion.

With ours if you get nothing for four rounds you get a shot back.

I just don't think you should ever be playing off 3 shots higher than your actual index. Something has gone wrong if that's happening.

Am not the only one, last year when my driving was abysmal. It was killing me playing off the whites, my fuddle hcap went up to 25, lowest was 17.

Agreed. If you're entering matchplay and there's a chance that you're going to be paired with someone you don't know, you better be prepared to use the one communication method that you're both guaranteed to a) have access to and b) be able to contact the other on

The already proliferation of bald patches and rubbish lies around the greens because they are mowing too tight because it’s a heathland course ..
I can chip off grass and moss ( which is my lovely lawn) but I am stuffed around our greens.. the bunkers are easier by far!

I share my opinions freely yes ..
But to be honest it’s not a unique opinion on this matter .. the minority hold the opinion that it’s a heathland course and it has to be that .. but the majority of them are chompers.

When you call a group through when your group is playing slowly and badly and they refuse....and are then constantly up your backsides for the rest of the round but refuse further offers to play through.

I’m not sure that’s an “IG mess”, more likely to be the person / committee that set up those options.

That's how it was done at our old club for the men's comps but with more zones.

I was checking the club comps online last night and found a slot in a betterball. There were only three players, so I put my name in to make up the second pairing. Minutes later I got a message to say the pairings had changed. One bloke deleted his playing partner and moved the guy I was with into his pairing, leaving me stranded on my own. Not impressed at all.
