Second round of our club champs is drawn in score order, so the worst scores out first. I didn't play great, but was sort of middle of the pack so figured I'd have an ok time. Nope - turns out I was just good enough for one of the earliest times on the 1st, and anyone slightly worse than me got a cushy late time on the 10th! Outrage!
Anyway, better go and go ready now.
Tennis? Cricket? Snooker?![]()
Bob the sock - 0 majors so his opinion counts for nothingWoods 15

Good yes?
Generational talent? Not even nearly.
How many majors do the rest of us have between us?Bob the sock - 0 majors so his opinion counts for nothing
I was a passive member of the Rory isn’t good enough gang till someone pointed out his wider record, pre-Masters. The guy is seriously good.
Rory’s attitude and demeanour on the course is not a patch on Hatton. Now he really does stink. He is a great golfer , I do feel however because he is from the UK he gets an incredible amount of slack with terms of criticism from here..if that was Bryson or such throwing clubs, smashing tee boxes and refusing to talk to the press people would be spitting feathers
Bryson is very much a fan favourite and now we get "it's all an act" but if Rory smashes up a tee it's "oh give him a break he must be stressed"
Can't we just agree he's a fantastic golfer but his attuide recently stinks
I suspect for some people in this country that the opposite is true. Successful people are easy targets for bashing and possibly why a lot seem to tell stories about how rough their upbringing was and how hard they had to fight for their success ( Marcus Rashford for example)He is a great golfer , I do feel however because he is from the UK he gets an incredible amount of slack with terms of criticism from here..if that was Bryson or such throwing clubs, smashing tee boxes and refusing to talk to the press people would be spitting feathers

This. And in sharp contrast to the USA, having enough business or career success to become even modestly wealthy is seen as some sort of failing or borderline criminal activity to be punished ,rather than something to be applauded and emulated. The UK public are a strange bunch
Lots of tribalism and anyone with an ounce of talent people will look to pull apart and find negatives about instead of applauding them
It’s so obvious, hopefully more will put him on ignore and he’ll get bored.Yes and so many have taken it.

He's got a thing for Scott, during the rain delay he kept going on about how handsome he is. Beem and Dougherty were finding it very awkward. It’s been said before and will undoubtedly be said again but Paul McGinley.
I have the rerun of the US Open on in the background and just heard him say what a ‘classy’ guy Adam Scott is for measuring a relief area with his driver choosing not to use his long putter.
You would have thought some sort of rules knowledge would be required to be an ‘expert’ pundit on golf.
Keep watching, he does apologise on Sunday for not knowing the rule!!It’s been said before and will undoubtedly be said again but Paul McGinley.
