Had a visit to the Mount Gay distillery today. (That’s not the irritation as we got to sample all their various rums and some cocktails). However, on the way back to the hotel we passed through Sandy Lane golf course. Not a soul on there and there is no way I’m going to be getting on there this week either. 😢

Go to Royal Westmoreland. I've played Sandy Lane once and my memory of it is that it wasn't very exciting and I'm not a good golfer.

Unfortunately I don’t have my golf clubs with me, or enough money. £243 a round for non members or if not staying at the hotel/villas. And for that price you can only go out between 10 and 11 am when the temp is like a blast furnace.

Am I missing something? These have the logo?

I know ping did one but was like £13 a grip

Having a logo in an offset position is not something that bothers me. If does for you put it on the underside where it will not be seen.

Essentially you are looking for any grip that says round and not ribbed.

No that's not the point, I don't mind the logo

But when regripping clubs it's really easy without a logo

Also the main point was when using an adjustable driver if you adjust it then the logo goes off centre

Hence why Id like golf pride to make 360 grips in that size as they do every other

Ranges that say “irons only” completely ignoring that some male players will hit long irons longer than most women hit their driver.
I've wondered that before - why they didn't just say "max 200 yards" or something. I've come to the conclusion that maybe the real danger is to the right of the range, and they're more worried about people slicing it over the fence than hitting too far. 😆

Consistency is good but it can also be annoying. My last five rounds on my home course; 81, 83, 82, 83, 82. But I've only broken 80 once this year, whereas last year I did it six times. Not sure what specifically is holding me back, it seems to be different every time.

Blanket bans on certain clubs are stupid. How is a beginner golfer going to get better at hitting driver if their local driving range bans them? If you only hit driver 100 yards because you don't have anywhere to practice, you're SOL

The leading score in our club 4BBB being net 58 (-14)
85% HC allowance and off white tees with sodden fairways.
Seems legit..

Final results in, net 58 won it. Looking at the handicaps of the players, that score is suggesting that one of them shot under gross off 8 and the other player was 6 or 7 under their HC (scoring split not detailed on HDID)

-14, white tees and no roll on the ball.

"A look at birdie"

This commentators favourite really gets on my nerves, I don't know why but it does.

I'm sure it came from America, seems to have been around for a few years now, I hoped it would go away but no sign of it.

Rant over.

Having probably a 75% success rate with Toptracer actually tracking the ball for the first half hour of my session tonight! 😡

Mine is about the professIonal game, so obvious when televised…I’d like to see caddies only carrying clubs and attending flags, I don’t want them reading putts, or telling the player the line into the green, the distance, the club and how to hit the shot, if the player can’t do this him or her self get another job! if no other benefit we might start to see the odd two or three ball get around in less than four hours.
