Really enjoy listening to Golf Podcasts, big fan of the Chipping Forecast with Andrew Cotter Ian Carter and Eddie Pepperell, really good insight into golf particularly from Eddie and a wee bit light hearted to, really enjoy Talk Golf Scotland as well, gave up on Bunkered and the one with Anton Du Beke and Sarah Stirk, Rick Shields to and tend to avoid the American ones. What does everybody else listen to ?

My favourite at the moment is Golf Is Ruining My Life. It's two English chaps who pretty much just wax lyrical about golf for half an hour. I like the fact it's only half an hour as I can listen to it on my lunchtime walk - so many of podcasts are way too long.

I also listen to Hack It Out, which is Mark Crossfield, Greg Chalmers and Lou Stagner. I like how they each come at the discussions with a different angle / different experience, and again, the podcasts are not usually more than about half an hour which is ideal.

I do listen to Rick's one, but they seem to be few and far between these days. I like Finch but his ones are always over an hour and just too long for me.

I used to like Beef's Golf Club with John Robins, but that's died a death, nearly a year since they put an episode out now. Shame. I tried Chipping Forecast a couple of times but Eddie comes across really pompous to me and I couldn't listen to it anymore.

I'm late to TCF so currently working through the back catalogue, once I've caught up I'll get back to Chasing Scratch, (and Tailenders).

My rotation is thus:

The chipping forecast - as above, Eddie can be a bit tedious sometimes, but I find Iain carter balances it out nicely.

NLU - I don’t listen to all of them but they have decent previews and reviews, decent guests and also cover the LPGA tour too.

The Fried Egg - has a good mix of chatting about pro golf and also the courses themselves

Chasing scratch - only just started it so I’m on the second series. Not bad so far.

The cookie jar - an all round golf podcast, some weeks it’s amateur golf, the next is a pro tournament review, the next it’s golf/course history, pretty decent in my opinion.

And after that, if I’ve ran out I’ll have a look at:

Shotgun start
Foreplay
Subpar

The above really depends whether I like the sound of the synopsis or if they have a decent guest. If not they’re a bit too loud and yeeeha for me.

Does anyone know of any that are a bit more technical/coaching focused. I listen to the main ones - Bunkered and Chasing Scratch are my favourites, Finches is good but long and Shiels is pretty inconsistent. I need to give NLU another go.

Hack It Out is a mixed bag topic-wise, some of their episodes will be about coaching aspects, driven by Crossfield. Some episodes will be stats or mentality-based, driven by Stagner.

The Chipping Forecast is my favourite by a long ways. Eddie has become one of my favourite golfers as a result.

I also listen to a few that would be Irish based and focus a bit on amateur golf here, etc. A Touch of Class , The Bogey Men.

I was a massive NLU listener, they sacked Kevin Van Valkenberg who I think is an excellent journalist and added loads to the content (he’s now joined the fried egg) which was a massive negative for me.

I've not listened to NLU for a while, why did he get sacked? I thought they got much better when he came on board, some of his stuff is great.

Yeah I didn’t realise that wow wonder what went on there

I’m guessing he was on a fair wack after leaving his other paid gigs

I'm surprised there is no love for Golf Is Ruining My Life when they claim to be the UK's 'second biggest golf podcast'. Has anyone tried it even?
