Put one on on the first tee and don't take it off again until I walk off the 18th.
Feels really strange playing without one on to be honest
Likewise. I could easily play without one for a lot of the year, but hot days and the palms get sweaty is why I wear one, couldn't play mid-summer without a glove, and becasue of that wear one all the time for consistent feel.

I've tried taking glove off for chipping and putting, and it feels wrong, so I keep it on.

I wear a glove for all shots other than chipping from the fringe and putting. I have a tendency to grip the club far too tightly when i'm not playing well so without a glove i'd have a big red hand.

don't wear a glove then, it will stop you doing it.

always wear one, take it off for putting altho thro the winter I don't bother taking it off for some reason, think it is because it's cold and I canny be arsed puting it back on and off!
I can honestly say I struggle to grip the club to what I feel normal without one on!I also have 6 in my bag at any 1 time,3 leather 3 all weather and keep them in wee plastic freezer bags as it keeps them nice and moist and stops them drying out.....christ reading that back it sounds like I have a glove fetish!

I wear a glove, and usually keep in on the whole round - that's because when I first started playing I would have reached my ball before the glove was off!!!

Now I'm a tad better I take it off between some shots, but because I'm not used to removing it find I'm lining up my next shot without it and have to start again.

So to avoid being accused of slow play it stays on for a while again!

I wear one apart from putting with my sweaty hands i need all the grip i can get.

A gamer glove will last about 4 months if i put in back in the packet, then they become practise gloves,

I do wash my practise gloves in soapy water, once washed put my hand back in and let to dry in my hand shape, ill get a few more sessions out of them before i wash again

I wore one the other week and it started raining half way round. Glove got soaked, I put it away in my golf bag and forgot about it.
Got it out to wear it down the driving range and for my first lesson, took it off to shake hands with the pro and my hand smelt like I had had it stuffed up an Anchovy's tw@t!

I buy a medium (normally FJ sci flex) as I have smallish hands anyway and they don't tend to stretch too much. Mine will normally last 4-6 months as I have several different colours so I tend to swap them about depending on what colours I'm wearing. Yes I know I'm a poncy tart!

I tend to get something hard wearing and synthetic for practicing normally with a heel pad as I tend to wear that area out.

I take my glove off after every shot as putting it on forms part of my pre shot routine and acts as a trigger to focus on the shot and select my club. Once I've pulled the club the glove goes on and I'm into set up, address and playing the shot. Once the ball has stopped rolling (or rattling around in the trees) taking the glove off acts as a trigger to stop concentrating on the shot and to try and "smell the flowers" on the way up the hole

That's a lot of pulling glove fingers with your teeth Homer!

It's probably worth saying that a glove is used to enable you to grip very lightly with the left hand but still be secure. Loose grip equals less tension through the arms and shoulders which makes for faster smoother swinging. Leather fabric grips on rubber grips better than your skin can grip due to sweat moisture on the skin, so by wearing a glove you can hold the club in the left hand very lightly. The right hand should be gripping a bit tighter than the left.
For some like Couples they have very little hand sweat so don't feel the need to use one.

That makes ense Birdie. I find that the grip is more secure with a leather glove. I've tried both but prefer the glove.
Also hit shorter shots without but in warmer weather than we have just had.
The two days in Goswick were probably the only rounds i have played without taking them off at all. Cold fingers!!.
I generally don't feel the cold too much though.

I normally wear a glove, though today I opened the top pocket of my bag & realized I didn't have one so played without. To be honest I thought I had a little more feel without, but the other thing is that I ripped my hands apart a bit. Little disconcerting to realize, you have the skin splitting & blood oozing out all over the place, from my left thumb & the crux of my right index finger.

But things will harden up if I make a habit of it. But for now its back to a glove thanks.

Cant believe anyone can draw blood in 18holes without a glove !!
I havent worn one for over 15yrs, and have never so much as got sore hands, and they are soft as a babies, as I'm a pen pushing work from home softie. :)

You sure you arent gripping that club too tightly ?? :)
