Does/has anyone used this for the live leaderboard aspect?

Looks like another stat catcher, but I like the fact you can have a live leader board in competitions to see where about you are compared to the rest of the field. Would be pointless though if not everyone is using it..

yeah, players constantly on their phones..

seen it, nice idea in theory, cant see it actually working that well on course though. shame.

I know the club were looking at getting a proper scoreboard like you see at some pro-ams for our club championship weekend but I think the costs were huge and prohibitive. Shame as I reckon that could have been fun, seeing if you'd made the cut line and then watching the board get updated as the second and final round progressed. Not sure this method works as well unless everyone uses it

I think this is the one the GolfDays tours use for some of their events.

I downloaded the app onto my phone and it's pretty good. You don't have to be in a big competition to use it, you can also use it to keep track of your friendly fourball.
