Wouldn't it be excellent if we had a dedicated 24/7 golf channel on Sky, showing everything relating to Golf - not just tournaments but behind-the-scene, reality (golfing) TV shows, training etc etc.

I've just been introduced to Big Break Greenbrier on Golf Channel.com - excellent show.

i am pretty sure the golf channel used to be on over here? probably 10 years ago, but i used to watch the original big breaks all the time.

What gets me, is that a sport, that isnt even a sport (don't get me started), F1, has its own channel. Shame really

I'm pretty sure it was still on when i just started playing in 2006.

I remember the big break, but mostly adverts for;

Slaz big easy irons, K1 speed driver, the perfect club hybrid thingy and bald eagle golf balls;)

The Knife , what a club , could make the green from 300yrds even if youre a 28h/c

Golf channel was over here, but they announced one year that they were closing down (due to bad viewing figures) on New Years Eve around 05 / 06. It was a British version, not just the American channel.

I love Big Break, watched the last few series online but this one is yet to be put on those TV channel websites (well, I can't find it anyway) - although I did see an advert for Big Break Mexico, so hopefully Greenbrier will be online soon!

Don't get me started but F1 is a sport :) Would be good to know why you think otherwise

i dont want to cause arguments, so wont go into my views except to say my policy is - No Motors and No Animals. Also, sport is about winning. An activity (F1 - not a sport) that tells a driver to not overtake someone, or let someone overtake them is a joke. Its fascinating as the technology is amazing, but it should be on the discovery channel :)

Did the sell the LOVETT wedge on there? my dads mate bought one but always thinned it miles. It affectionately became known as the 'AVE IT wedge

agree with you about F1, boring.

must be like watching traffic go around the M25

I don't Rember a Lovett wedge, but do remember the Alien wedge!!!!!

I’ve still got a Knife 5-wood! I did have a 3 wood too, but the shaft on it broke (ahem - I broke it when I hit my back with my 8-iron, won't make that mistake again).

I never use the 5-wood these days, but I think they’re decent clubs all in all.

Plus you pretty much decide who's going to win the day before the actual race.

I think SKY pulled the plug when they upped the broadcast rights, they got rid of about 6 channels in one fell swoop, the big break uk was dire and i think the bloke who came second dumped his girlfriend and started dating the American presenter because he turned up on a few shows with her some months later.
