I was due to play this morning (the 1st time in weeks)

Imagine my surprise when I looked out of my bedroom window this morning to see snow falling!

Needless to say, my round didn't materialise.

Don't you just hate British weather. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Managed a game this morning, no wind and a little cold but stayed dry. My brother in law was along as my guest and couldn't believe it, when arriving at the clubhouse at 7.30 there were around 25 - 30 guys waiting to play. Just about able to see first fairway when teeing off !!!

Went out this morning 8am......1st was straight into the teeth of a hurricane and it was pishing down!My mate middled a drive that must have went 180 tops,3 wood followed struck with same conviction and came up 25 yards short on a hole that measures 350!
9 holes was more than enough,it was blown as hard as it has all year,it was baltic and it was pishing down,not a great combinaton when mixed in with a 44 front 9!
Not one of the 1st 5 groups went through 9 which says it all.

Mind you the coffee and bacon roll was superb!

Same this morning as yesterday.

Lashing it down, curled up back in bed and snoozed for a couple more hours. Done nothing again today. Had a light lunch whilst settling down for a whole afternoon watching the Golf World Cup from China.
Some brilliant action seen.
Wish we had Chinas weather over here this weekend!

Played 18 yesterday and today. Very wet underfoot and pretty windy today,but it beats the crap out of xmas shopping.

Yip. Planning doing the same tomorrow come rain or shine (apparently it's meant to shine).

Been off for the week and managed to play 3 of Edinburgh's 4 full length council courses on my winter membership while I've been off. Braids was only just playable the other day. Just Silverknowes to play tomorrow for the full set and then back to work Tuesday.

Went to the range instead of playing (course closed - quelle surprise) and worked on some stuff from a lesson I had on Friday. Definite signs of improvement and a clearer picture of what's been happening and why

There was a fir bit of standing water on the lower part of the course at Silverknowes the other day. Still a nice gale down the Firth of Forth should help dry it up.

The wind will certainly be in the right direction to assist you in driving the 10th green John

Yeah Dave. I believe it was down to 9 holes at Silverknowes because of the water. Hopefully better luck tomorrow. Not played it in many years.

What a great deal that winter membership is. I think it's down to £70 from 1st December to 31st March. Mine has nearly paid for itself already with 4 months to go. Yay!

The forecast states dry tomorrow but bloody cold!

I just HAVE to get a round in tomorrow! Just wrap up a bit. Using up some leave before New Year cut off. Shame I have to take it in the miserable time of year!

HID just jobbed me, wanting the garden tidying ie sweeping up leaves etc. Dilemna...... before or after a round!
