Going for it

Hoping to get out tomorrow for a quick 9 or even 18 but I don't know what state the course is in. I'll rock up and see tomorrow. Should be dry but bleedin' cold. Still, got my base layer and mitts.

Oh dear - just checked the forecast - varied precipitation in sight so it doesn't look good.

On my way out yesterday the last thing HID said to me was, "It's fair to say I think you're gonna get wet at some point today". How wrong she was - it was just like a still Autumn day :) So I'm sorry for you guys with the bad weather.

Anyway, for a long time now I've been hitting the ball too high with the R7 draw, even when teeing up really low. And of course it's worse when windy and resulting in a loss of distance. As I don't hit long anyway, I thought I'd try a lower lofted club.

I took out a taped up Taylormade R7 Limited 10.5.I've had my eye on one for a while now. What a difference, much more penetrating ball flight and accurate too. Was also nice to be able to tee the ball higher and not sky it. Only had one drive where I skied it high and left, but all others were straight and some only drifting off the fairway a few yards.

The two mates I played with, (who know my game well), both said my driving was further and more accurate, and surprised at how well I hit it considering it was the first time of using. So on the 18th I took the tape off and whacked another good'un.

So it's now in my bag! :D

Golfmmad.

R7 Limited is a great driver and like you its been a revelation in terms of distance and ball flight. Its the best driver I've ahd and there have been many over the years. Its definitely staying put
