If I had to guess, I reckon the advert is designed for the golf monthly main front pages, rather than the forum pages.
The forum uses the whole page, whereas the main pages do not.

You could spend about a minute downloading and installing it and see how you get on. If you don't like using the forum without the ads, then uninstall it and go back to being miserable again.

It's nothing to do with jobs being done properly . I don't want to see ads, same as I stop them hoovering up my personal data.
