Go Kart Electric Trolley

It happens every time a thread comes up on the GoKart.
My problems were minor. A bungee elastic broke.
I didn't moan about it. I didn't contact GoKart.
I was quite willing to go out and buy a "normal" bungee strap to replace it.
Sandy (from GoKart) saw mention of it on the forum.
The following day, a new bungee strap arrived through the post, no charge.
That is brilliant service. You can't put a price on it.
Yet some will still bloody moan that a bungee strap shouldn't have broken.
I despair, I really do.

+1. A metal bar & ballbearings which are exposed to the rain, sleet, snow, cold, wind and god knows what else rusted for me. Normal wear and tear. They STILL replaced the part, for free.

Can't beat that for customer service.

Rest easy guys.
I am sure Sandy and co at Head Office will be pleased with the almost overwhelming support from actual users of their product.

I've had mine about 3 years now and it's never missed a beat. Got an 18 hole battery but it'll do 36 no problem round the 2 courses I play regularly. This may not continue as it gets older so will look to upgrade the battery. I don't really care what it looks like as all I see is the handle when using it. Can't comment on after sales service as I've never had to phone them. I would happily recommend them.

Well in my 8 years of ownership:
- Bungee strap broke - replaced FoC
- Wheel bearing broke - totally my fault, jammed it in a bunker - replaced FoC
And that's it.

Oh and it's also been into a burn on my course (my fault again), came out with no damage whatsoever and continued to work perfectly.
Bear in mind that this gets used in all sorts of weathers in Scotland as I play come hail, rain, or shine (often in the one day as happened the other week :)) and it gets put away, gets brought out the following week and off it goes again.

And yes it's plastic which means it doesn't rust and is easy to clean. But many things are plastic these days. Modern composites are very strong and to criticise it for being plastic is just because its not the normal material for this use. There are many types of plastic as there are of metal. You wouldn't use cast iron or tinfoil to make a golf trolley. You'd use the correct material. The same can be said of the GoKart. It uses the correct composite for the job in hand. And years of use has shown me they've got it right. And there are quite a few at our course.

Lol

The pic is same as my old trolley. It's the ugliest trolley in existence today.. I prefer the s1 motocaddy over the go kart. Just a personal view. Don't like the plastic looks..

S1 looks a lot better. Used to have one. Had to repair the semi-circle bar with a few well placed screws, epoxy and metal strips. When the wheel sheared off on the 16th fairway during a round it was time for a new one and Gokart ticked the right boxes.

From a practical point the small fold down size of the GoKart can sometimes be an issue as well. Great on it's own. I can fit my trolley and bag in the boot of a Kia Rio.

Larger trolleys with more traditional design make a nice stable base at the bottom of the pile when trying to stack a Zafira with a 4 balls worth of gear.
