GM Team to play PING at Walton Heath GC, April 7 2010.

I am over the moon, really 100% over the moon, being a Ping tart anyway I couldn't have asked for a better prize, just hope they dont tell me

"Yes son, your a Rapture V2, 10.5 degree Diamana stiff shaft, cheerio"

Seriously, this is truely fantastic, Walton Heath WOW, ex Ryder Cup course and a look round the Ping tour van, need to remember to wear my trousers with the BIG pockets and put on a pair of sticky gloves!!!!!!

Flights are just about to be booked. Just need to find the cheapest hotel at Gatwick Airport now!

Thanks GM, this is awesome, really really chuffed, shame the wife said, "more bloody money for golf, London???? Why the f%*@ are you going to London to play golf!"

They just don't understand! Pfffft

Just looked at their website and I'm very grateful/hopeful we wont be playing the blues. A gnats tadger short of 7500 yds par 72 SSS 75

One of the par 4's is 520 yds .....LOL :D :D

I'll take the whites at 6850 yds and be happy with that thanks heehee

In case they do say that, have you got a reserve driver to take with you? At least that way you will get a brand new version of your current model. P.S. Just don't tell MikeH. ;) ;)

It would be incredible to play it at it's full length but I fear there wouldn't be enough daylight hours for Smiffy to get round

Jealous, moi? Jealous? No way. Not at all. Anyway, I've heard it's not much of a course. There's loads of holes in it which they've tried to patch with sand. And it's in Surrey of all God forsaken places. Where they drink gin. No. Never wanted to go there.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghhh........ now where's that cat.

Ps: Good team - have a great day.

Genuinely can't sleep, I'm so excited - what a plonker, eh.

One thing has puzzled me, though

In the end we went for a rather clichéd blend of youth and experience!

Where is the 'youth' coming from ?

Coz I know half the team, and the best description I can come up with is 'puerile'

I don't go that far on my holidays...
That's some test of golf.

Have played Walton Heath a couple of times before. First time was a corporate day shortly after I first started playing. Played off about 24 and the place just grabbed me by the goolies and didn't let go. I think I scored about 10 points if I remember correctly.... :o :o :o

Showing off again Smiify, or making your excuses early!! :D

Come on, positive mental attitute....

Good luck to the team, give 'em hell......

P.S. Mike, maybe you could suggest to PING to have one of these competitions over this side of the water at some point !!!!!!

Well, I can reveal that the youth is not from my angle either, pushing 35 these days!

What a fantastic event to be involved in.
I have not been on for a few days so missed the initial post (I guess that I would therefore not have made the team!!!)
I dont think there are many magazines who offer these type of opportunities so well done again for looking after us and good luck to all who made the team.

As I remember Tony is only about 18 :)
Combined with Smiffy that would give an average age of....... ;)

35 is youthful when you're looking at it from my direction :D

Oh to be 35 again....sighs..
