GM Team to play PING at Walton Heath GC, April 7 2010.

Looks like I need a caddy :-D

I hope it's not that scampi stealing Vig
:D :D :D

Thanks Mike and all at Ping for giving us the opportunity. I promise I won't swear or lob my putter at anyone
;)

I would have loved to, but didn't put my name forward for the event as I couldn't make the date anyway (where's the cry smiley?)
Have a great day lads and stick one up em!

I wanted a new driver!!

Forget the driver, I just wanted to play the course. :)

Forget the driver AND the course. :D

Having the opportunity to mix sticks with a player who is 58th on the order of merit, 139th in the WORLD, who made €500,000+ in winnings, averages 299yds on his drives and is ON FORM is what I'm looking forward to....

I expect Mike and/or Jezz will get that responsibility, and I'll probably play against the Ping tea lady :p :p

I expect his time will be limited James, he'll certainly not have time to spend looking in the rough all the time.
My guess is he'll be out in the first group mate
;)

Have I missed something???

WOW!!!!

I didn't realise that. I must have missed that, who let that cat out the bag?

That's OK, I've agreed to take on Cabrera and Westwood!

Maybe I should book a tee time after the GM/Ping match and play it anyway!

I was thinking that. Maybe book a tee time before them....don't want to be held up :)

As there's a good chance I'm going to be there anyway :)

Thinking about it....if the game lasts 4 hours, the fitting and food and mixing it with the big boys a while too, perhaps I could work my way to a reasonably close course for a game with a friendly forummer?

May I recommend Tyrells Wood?
It's only just round the corner and is a cracking track.

Mention my name to the pro (Rob) and you should be able to get on for just over twenty quid.
;) ;) ;)

And who's going to be on my bag? ;)

What about a round somewhere the afternoon before or do you all have to work ? Im staying overnight anyway so could drive down in the morning and meet up somewhere for a game later on. Just a thought...

Plans not set in stone yet, but we might be playing the day before and possibly the day after. We could always meet for a knock.

If you guys had mentioned this sooner I would have got an earlier flight for a game on the Tuesday.

Hope you all enjoy it where ever you play. Don't "over golf", sip plenty of water, warm up properly and early to bed with no amber nectar!

If Mike H doesn't want me as a first reserve and nobody wants me driving their trolley, I'll happily have a game locally with anyone who wants one.

As the lads say, Tyrells Woods is quite a nice parkland course. Probably not too challenging to the lower handicapper but you still have to manage your way around it and get the ball in the hole :o and as Smiffy said, they are willing to negotiate a green fee.
