I think I may have to miss the Meet as well. Merging my business with another company and the start date is the 3 September.

I'm close enough to do it in a day but like Murph I've already commited to a lot of golf this year, need to do my sums and find a way to stretch the wallet a bit more.

One tank for me is £90, and it won't get me there and back. It might get me there though.

Would love to make it but it's just not feasible.
Big trip from here to do it in one day - about 3 and a half hours both ways + 4 hours golf + an hour or 2 after....

I take it trains are still crazy expensive? I remember the last time a couple of years ago it was actually cheaper to drive than get the train from Manchester to Barrow.

That was on the train. I can do it for far less in the car, but it means H.I.D will have to take 2 days leave as well as she needs the car for work.
Bit hard to work out who's going to see if a car share is a viable option.
