GM forum 2012 mega meet - info

Hello Mike, I could have a word with our course manager and see if he will do us a deal, especially with at least 3 members from our course on here (Lee park). Green fees are normally about £35 on a weekend, but I'm sure he may do us a deal for 20 golfers for maybe even less than £20. It is not a Formby, west lancs but is a decent 6.5/7 out of 10 parkland. They may also do a late tee time on the Sunday (say after 3.00 or after 3.00 on the Tuesday night). Only 20 miles away from Hillside or 10 miles from Liverpool town centre.

Anyway let me know if any interest.LB

Have emailed West Lancs ref Tuesday so lets wait and see what comes back but reckon you'd get some takers for Sunday afternoon/evening round

will be looking to get a night out In Southport sorted for Sunday and poss Monday too (if we are going to Play Tuesday)... could be messy

Thats just plain filthy talk! I like it though!!!!!!

Lee Park is a decent course, they have a new par 3 opening in April that is a bit of a stunner too.

You should be able to book it for much less than the mentioned number - you might even get it for single figures from what I hear.

Its not in the same league as Hillside though.

Count me in for a game on either Sunday aft or Tuesday.. Happy to play anywhere decent.. Sunday night round Southport sounds good as well.

Agreed on most, but our greens have been fantastic over the last 3 years.I play in opens all over the northwest and only the likes of Turnberry and S&A have had better greens in my opinion. As I said not in the league of Formby/West lancs but if some people fancy a cheap knock after spending a few bob on the more illustrious courses, they are welcome. Its worth £25-30.00 of anyones money, but may get it for a decent bit less than that.

Single figure green fee though - your having a laugh!!!!

Played it recently?

Any of the East Coast boys thinking of this one ?

Thecraw is up for this if selected, I'll hang about with an east coaster if I'm allowed. You do have a Dundonian interested, but no one really likes them!!!!

:ears:

£100 for a summer round.

Mike I hope that your negotiating skills are top notch!!!

Whose the 3rd member Peter?

I missed it too, but I would like to know what the package was, just in case any vacancies occur later. Any chance of putting it on again Mike, making it clear that the list is full at tha moment?
