GM forum 2012 mega meet - info

well done GM in getting the detail ironed out. Looking forward to Thursday now.

If I remember right, Castle Stuart was a 56 slot event as well. It didn't fill up on day one so there should be plenty of time to get your entries in.

As long as the weather can be arranged a-la Castle Stuart everything should be fine.

Unfortunately I think I am going to have to miss out on this one. Looked at a long weekend break with the missus but as its the weekend of the preceeding Bank Holiday and before the kids go back just couldn't justify the added expense as neither of our bairns are in school yet. Sad times as the course looks amazing, maybe next year...

looks like I'm out too, Thursday I'll be hovering over the everglades alligator spotting, and won't be near a cheque book for a fortnight.

put me down as a reserve please

Think it is a touch unfair where members and expressing disappointment at the numbers available. Hillside is a class course and for 2 Open Competitions this year which is approximately 2 X 7 hours slots ALL places were taken within 1 hour. Having held The British Amateur last year they can pick and chose who they take. Think GM have done extremely well to get 60 slots.

As the great man says on Dragons Den "I'm oot".:(

Far too much on already and especially in September which already sees me being Best Man at a wedding then the annual jaunt to Royal Aberdeen that has sadly been curtailed to a 1 day trip due to a 4 night Oktoberfest trip 2 days later.

Any more trips and the bailiffs will be knocking!

For those who are thinking of going make sure you DO go cos it will be a fabulous day.

Its a bit of a trek for me but I'm definitely up for it, Hillside is a fabulous course. Anyone interested in a car share from the Reading area? I'm prepared to drive there and back the same day.

I'm not sure I can make it. I've just checked the dats after,4th Sept, will be my little boys' first day at school ever!!

big day in our house!! even a round at Hillside may have to be sacrificed!!:mmm:

To all those considering it, just remember, it's in the north west, and we have plenty of water. If any of you southerners pass my house, I'll even let you fill some Perrier bottles from the water butt.
