agreed its better, however what I think will happen is anyone who cannot get there in 2 will all end up in the bowl like area 100yds short of the green and it will become divot hell! Looking at the green theres no real advantage going for it in 2, theres lots of bunkers that gather the ball in, and the green has 3 run off areas that will take the ball downhill from the 'upturned saucer' green shape if you actually land on it.
Good for match play but.................

Cripes, I've just checked ... Nicklaus is overseeing the changes. I wondered when looking at your link and seeing the 'cut-in' bunkers on the approach to the 18th.

Jack Nicklaus ... great golfer .. but ... one dimensional course designer.
