Popped up to my club for an hours short game practise today, had my camera in the car so thought I would take a few pics

From the 1st green, and for the eagle eyed amongst you yes, that is a large plug of volcanic basalt in the background:




The long uphill approach to 3:



and the view from up there:



exactly two months ago it looked like this:

and frequently play my approach from here:



5th tee - from the yellows:



the fairway opens up round to the right of the large tree, you need to hit a fade or be long enough to clear a fairway bunker waiting for the straight one. I have battered so much suryln into that tree it's probably poisoned.

But from the medal tee, slightly longer but the fairway is opened up:



And the approach, foreshortened by the camera but about 220 to the centre, water hazard in front down in the dip:



6th tee shot, right of centre opens up the green but beware the bunker:



Par 3 7th, Eriskyne Pond, from the blacks:

I've played Gleddoch 2 or 3 times, when up in Glasgow on business, as I have stayed in the hotel.

The greens were never tip-top when I played it, but loved the layout of the course, especially the ones along the top. I've never mastered the line for 17th though.

for the bigger hitters the line is the covered bays on the practise area, for mere mortals its over the top of the little tree in the fairway

My line was always the woods on the left.

I'm willing to bet that if you hunt for your ball in there you will find the odd one with three red dots in a triangle on it

I was sick of finding them, threw them all back, as they were all commandoes and molitors.

Nice pics. Played their twice in the past 2 year and must say i do enjoy it. Nice lay out. Course was very wet both ti.es i played it but we did have alot of rain the week before
