Although storm Doris is lashing down outside and the Joburg has been stopped for a wet course, I'm starting to get really giddy about the Master it's only about 40 days away!!! :fore:

Who does anyone fancy for it at the moment, the GM tipster has been doing well the last couple of weeks so might be interesting to see his picks.

I'm quite liking Lee Westwood e/w, he always seems to be there abouts in the last few Masters. Ladbrokes have him at 100/1 which seems a ridiculous price for someone who finished 2nd last year.

Can anyone really see past Dustin at the moment though?

I can't wait. Easily my favourite major of the year :)

I can't see past Spieth personally, I think it'll be massive when he plays that par 3 again. I heard an interview with him a month or so ago saying he played it with friends and birdied it....but it's a different kettle of fish when all the golfing world is watching you!

As for each ways, Fitzpatrick may be worth a shout, had a decent tournament last year so has a little bit course form.

If I was a gambling man I'd put my hard earned on Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas or Jason Day

Matsuyama is not a bad shout, 5th in 2015 and 7th last year so starting to pick up some form on the course. Not sure about Fitzpatrick, only one start and finished 52. you always need someone with some form at the Masters it is a course you need to have played (apart from Speith when he won).

Fitzpatrick finished 7th last year with a final day round 5 under ;)

Speith for me.

He has unfinished business there after last year.

Are there any rules on discussing betting on the forum?

I normally have a few quid each week and thought about starting a thread.

Yes very excited here, nothing like the masters....only safe bet is that IF Tiger tees it up he will miss the cut by the length of magnolia lane,Rory will feature and fade with streaky putting and Willet has to stay all weekend regardless! Fancy A Scott will go close

I kept backing Matsuyama last year but didn't get any return on him (missed his wins). Just looking at the current odds for him and they're not worth it.

DJ looking good but can he get the draw working for the course. His driving and putting was immense last week.

Never count out at Rory, his long game is perfect. Just about how much competitive golf he can get in before.

I'm probably in the minority, but the masters does nothing for me viewing wise. watch the odd bit at the end sometimes, but it doesn't excite.

I'm a complete Masters grump. The back nine on Sunday is usually amusing but the rest is tosh played out in a ghastly Americanised theme park to a sycophantic and classless soundtrack which can't hold a candle to the gravitas of the Open's. I also pull the legs off spiders and regularly complain about the ever diminishing size of Wagon Wheels. Bah.

Love him or hate him, Patrick Reed is a good shout this year for a major. Also, sneaky Luke Donald has been playing his way back into form recently, I should think he gets some good odds.

Is the best of the "other Majors" after The Open, so can't wait!
