Anyone used one for golf and how did you get on? I'm on the Vitality programme at work so can get a tracker with 50% off and thinking about getting this one because of the added bonus of the golf feature. Cheers

Afraid not - options are Polar,Garmin or Fitbug on the discount. Was thinking about a Fitbit but just wondered if the Vivoactive would be a good option if the golf functionality works.

I've got one. Use it for both golf and running, it does swimming too.

Golf wise you have to download the course before you play it. It gives distance to the front, middle and back of the green, no hazards or anything like that. You can also track your score on it.

I like mine, with 50% off it's a great deal

Cheers Thanks for the info. Front middle and back at a glance is all I really want.

I picked one of these up through the Vitality health insurance thing for £100 also. Had a Garmin S3 prior to this.

As as previously stated, you need to download the courses to your phone/watch before you play which isn't really a problem. Doesn't have the feature where you can map your own hazards etc. which is available on the S3, or the feature where you can pinpoint the pin position on the green to get a more accurate distance. However I didn't really use these features so don't miss them.

You can track rounds through the app if you're that way inclined. Can get FMB of greens and measure shot distances.

Personally think the Vivoactive looks better, and is much more comfortable/lighter to wear than the S3. The battery is also better. Can easy get 36 holes out of it, and it charges very quickly.

Any questions, feel free to give me a shout!

Cool thank you. I had a shotmiser but that's died on me and rely mainly on my laser but I can use that for hazards or pin distance inside 125 yards. Looks quite smart and an easy way to track lots of different activities not to mention collecting points! Cheers

I love mine! If your a bit of a health and gadget freak like me you'll love it. I have mine set up for full notifications this it acts like a smart watch. Ideal if your in a meeting and your phones rings or a text comes through. Not quite an Apple Watch but does enough. I use mine mainly for running over the golf due to its multiple display functions. Must give the golf function another bash.

The only downside over the whole product is the Garmin Connect app... However the latest updates seemed to have sorted the minor sync issues.

I have one also paid full price and only just discovered I could of got one through vitality as you do

Had mine since June really pleased with it

The walking/hiking and cycling apps are also good

The golf part of it is good for my golf distances etc

Would recommend
