Anyone used one of the Garmin fitness watches for golf ( have previously tried a vivoactive but found it to be inaccurate).

Currently have a Samsung galaxy but just don't get on with the various apps I've tried and prefer not having it paired to a phone, which I tend not to carry .

Considering the Fenix, Instinct or Venu.

I’ve got the Fenix 7 Pro Solar! It’s an unbelievable bit of kit!

Battery life is superb, I can use it in Arctic conditions for Nav, and it’ll last the week at -30° whilst being used constantly, great in the water and it can take a battering!

As for Golf apps, been using recently and absolutely no complaints. It’s not a cheap watch but it’s first class quality.

My Epix pro gen2 does golf and then some! As good as any dedicated golf watch, but with so much more.
You know the Garmin does tempo timing too.

As above, my Venu 2 has given me everything I need from a golf/fitness watch. Can't believe how expensive the Garmin watches are now.

Fenix 6 Pro and it's great. I use it to confirm distances against rangefinder.

Tracks scores, distances, steps etc.
