Gamers

I don't know how people play on such small monitors when using a console. I am always a little envious when I see my kids gaming on 43" TV's and I have a 35" ultrawide but that extra screen space looks so good.

When I can afford it I will be pushing to go bigger like this one LG 45"

I would need to sit at the other end of the room if I had a larger screen 🤓 🤣

The bigger the screen the further eyes have to travel to track things.🙃 Also depends on your FOV.
True, but I play more than FPS games, though i do play a lot of CoD, other games work so well with the extra screen footage, especially RPG's and action titles.

Just finished the latest Dragon Age.

Now started Baldur's Gate 3 in the last week or so. Like it, but all feels a bit overwhelming at moment, and definitely not fighting as efficiently I should be.

I finished dragon age a couple of weeks ago..enjoyed it. Space Marine 2 or Indiana Jones next

Three games to mention:

Baldurs Gate 3
Been playing that for months. Big game, and generally very good. However, felt very over-whelming to start with, and in all honesty still often felt overwhelming. There are so many weapons, gear, spells, items, character types etc. There are that many choices that the significances of any choices just feels insignificant, and I just end up sticking to what I get used to from the start of the game pretty much. Got to the final battle, became an overwhelming fight (even on easy), can't be bothered looking through the hundreds of items and spells I have that might make it easier, so ultimately just gave up with the game.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Downloaded this because it was free on Playsation Plus membership a week or so ago. Started playing it, realised it was a platform 2D game, and my initial reaction was "this is awful, I can't play this", because I'm so used to 3D gaming. However, it didn't take long for the game to become really addictive, and really enjoying it.

Gran Turismo 7
Play this most days, as I can now do online racing with PS Plus. I'll maybe do one Race C each day, and then I do whatever championship races they have going on on a Saturday and Wednesday. Also do the Spa 60 minute offline race at weekends, for 1,000,000 credits. Play every race in VR. It is fantastic, however I definitely think I'm limited to how fast I can ever go. I just can't get on with Manual Gear Box. I use the PS Controller for all controls. If I also use it for gear shifting, when I rapidly shift downwards, I just never know what gear I end up in (unless I can just mash the button down into 1st gear), so I'm often in too low or too high a gear than I need to be in. So, I stick to automatic for a simpler, yet ultimately slower drive. Not sure if manual gearing is something you just have to get used to, or if it is much easier if you have the full driving rig (steering wheel and pedals)

An average priced wheel would significantly enhance the experience.
Thought that. But then I probably need some sort of rig / desk to fit it to.

I play the game in living room, so I reckon it would just end up getting in the way.

If I ever get the will power to move house, I'd probably look to get a place where I can dedicate a room for the playstation, and get the full works.

Ohh, and another room for a golf simulator :)

Had the same concerns but it’s not too bad. Got a cheap frame - works ok and can move out of the way in a corner when not used 🙃

I plowed hours into GT7, but stopped playing as the rolling start in single player is a nightmare, have to be inch perfect to catch the car in 1st place, some of the later races they're 3/4s into the first lap before I've started.

They do mix it up a bit now, with some grid starts
