galvin green again

I'm a fanboy then, if that means that I love my GG's and will still buy into the brand, and when weighing up the different costs of similar brands with fixed warranties against a lifetime warranty, well I will carry on buying once and once only and see them out.

I look after all my clothes and wash them correctly and as such all my golf clobber still looks as new as when it was first purchased, won or given to me. However, I see tops & bottoms dragged out of bags that have been sat in them for god only knows how long with still loads of mud on the bottom of the trousers and tops smelling rather ripe because they've been put back in the bags wet/damp.

I think in the main, but obviously not all of the time, that many faults or failures are down to user/owner error or simply not looking after the items very well, it's those people that usually shout the loudest about warranties and guarantees and yet they've clearly not looked after their gear!
 
My wife bought me a pair of Ping waterproof trousers a few years back and the pro told her they would last longer than me! The way I feel at the moment he is likely to be proved right.
 
The price of GG is known , it's not a surprise to anyone , looking after the waterproofs is not a surprise , it's goretex material - it does need looking after using the recommended method , it's not really a hardship and there is other makes out there to buy if GG is too expensive or too much hassle

The ops problem is the hassle he is getting from GG. It is not what he expected nor should expect, seeing as he bought something that he knew was top Dollar.
 
well, after two weeks and three emails they didn't bother responding too i've had to bite the bullet and return to galvin green via the pro shop again for them to look at.

mine got sent back over a month ago and were found to be faulty. they are replacing them and were quick to come back to say so.

But, they promised to send the trousers straight away and as the jacket was embroider with the club logo they had to replace like for like.

was told two weeks ago that it was done and would be with me this week. when i hadn't heard from the Pro shop by Thursday i rang them and asked them to chase up then as it is a bank holiday and if it didn't turn up on friday, GG couldn't be rung again till Tuesday.

We it turns out it hadn't been done a wasn't coming back this week. Our CS rang then and told them to get it done and sent that day. so supposed to be here on Tuesday.

TBH, I'm pretty disappointed with them saying they were done when clearly they were not. and basically telly fibs.

A black mark against GG here for me.
