Futherest you have hit a golf ball

Not a clue hw far I hit any of my clubs, which is a bit of an issue, going to sort that in the new year, but really I don't care, as long as it lands on the fairway, don't care which fairway either, could be playing the 3rd and it lands back on the 2nd fairway

Measured is 374 yards. Downhill, down wind, rock hard ground.

The same week I had a handful more over 300. My second longest was also that week at 325. Wind assisted but not much downhill at all, very hard ground though.

Never had a week like it since. I get the odd one out to 270 but I'm usually a 240 yard guy

Haven't measured properly or precisely but my best few drives must have gone around 230-235 yards. Don't think I've ever hit much further than that.

Pal of mine borrowed another PP driver on our 18th. He bladdered it. It was five yd short of the down slope. We measured it and it was 299 yd he joy fully told us he has joined the 300 yd club. We happyily remind Baghead he is in the 299 yd club.

355 yard 8 iron?

Yup, distance is just a function of conditions and it has a massive slope, hard fairway, but yes it looks stupid when you see it written unless you know the hole.

Not sure of longest drive, but best drive (Most satisfying at least) as the 1st hole at the same course where i drove it into the centre of the green and holed the putt for a 2, using my old Skewel TM burner

I would like to point out this is NOT MY VIDEO

Longest I've measured was 296,hit it out of the middle & caught a down slope one the fairway.
Not massive but considering I usually hit a good drive 240ish I was pretty happy with that.

261 yards on our 18th measured with Game Golf (wind assisted) and a similar distance at Ullesthorpe on the 18th (downhill) using my S2, although on the latter I was still a long way behind Region 3's drive :whoo:.

In years gone by with persimmon clubs I could hit the 280 yard par fours at Wimbledon Common with ease. These days I'm capable of the odd pop out to about the same yardage but I'm now reliant on hard fairways and ideally a helping wind. A down hill gradient always gratefully received too. Getting older sucks

365 on the 7th at Dunham forest. caught it well I thought and it felt lovely but I had no idea it was so long

I was playing with Marc Cueto the sale RU player (who can hit a long ball) on a corporate supplier day and as we walk down he fairway I spotted my ball inches short of the green. The group in front (on the same corporate do) had just departed the green and it was obvious that they were about braced to congratulate Marc on booming one.

they had no idea that it was actually the 5'9 beer bellied lout accompianing him down the hole (with a rolled fag hanging out his mouth) that hit it :D

Until I piped up with "sorry lads...I did try to take a bit off it:whistle:" ha

I was buzzing if I am being honest but that's because I am a Neanderthal with zero finnese.

Measured it with GPS so it's fairly accurate. Honestly was a nice calm summers day, pretty warm but not really windy.

Hit 350 ish a few times including on the 10th at Chorley, only just slightly right of the green.

Pity the hole is only 280 or something of the yellows ha ha

I then duffed my chip and three putted for the most spectaculaly rubbish bogey ever

That drive runined my chances on that hole everythime after as I was scared of hitting my driver, so I had to resort to taking my two hybrid (don't carry a wood). That was never long enough to hit a very reachable par 4 in one and I then got into a horrible habit of snap hooking my hybrid by trying to leather it near the green....

It went from being my favourite birdy hole on the course to being a nervy tee shot and horrible 50 yard hook everytime.

Hate that hole now, all because of that stupid long drive. Funny old game.

Not a driver but i remember hitting a freak shot that went way further than i expected

4th HOle at Silverknowes in Edinburgh, into the wind 3 hybrid, flew over the green and ended up past the next tee, no idea what happened, it is probably the only shot where i was surprised by how far it went.. still baffled by it, soft conditions btw.
