I’m looking to enter my first long drive competition in the uk. Ball speed ranges from 195-204mph. Longest drive with a taylormade QI10 XS shaft is 360 carry, 382 yards total. Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Could send you the track man tracers if you’d like. I never swing that hard on the course but fortunately for long drive comps you only need 1 out of 5 balls on the fairway👍🏻

I doubt our local contingent can share any pointers about something that not many can relate to/ have interest in. 🙃

Good luck anyway.

Do post your numbers though, would be interesting to see your launch/spin etc. What loft is the driver? Martin Borgmeyer LD driver is 4*, doubt Qi10 can be anywhere near that. 😂

Okay that’s fair enough. I have no experience in long drive. I was advised by a friend of mine to get into it as he saw my numbers and couldn’t believe it. He plays off +2 and coaches so he has seen plenty of players through that. My driver set up is the QI10 LS 9* standard length XS shaft.

Just to add, I’d say the best way to find out more is to find any UK LD guys on YT/socials ans see where they play. LD is not that popular in the UK as far as I can see, but there are a few promotions running events across Europe.

Failing that you can find a local TopTracer / Trackman driving range and get on their leaderboard 🙃

Can't help with who to contact, but an ex coach, Matt Nicole, won the European LD title with a 404 yard belter, but that was some years back.
His latest LD driver was 4° of loft and the shaft was 5xstiff.
XS won't cut the mustard!
