My playing partner has recently been told by a pro that he has the yips at impact (especially with his driver) causing him to flick at the ball. Is this a thing? Never heard of hips outside of putting and chipping before!!

Nope, never heard of a full swing yip. I can kind of understand it in principal but would have thought as opposed to putting and chipping where there is less speed in the mechanics, a full swing at speed wouldn't cause a "yip" motion. Would it not be simply flipping with the hands (getting trapped etc)
