I am getting a bit of cabin fever now. Broke my big toe 5 weeks ago but that was all healing nicely. It was going so well that I had lined up my first trip to the golf club in 6 weeks for Sunday morning.

On Friday night I had to move all of the furniture out of the lounge for it to be plastered and, of course, I then injure my back lifting a sofa. Golf duly cancelled and it looks like at least another week before I get to swing a club.

This is becoming frustrating as hell and I am betting that I am fit and ready to go just about the time that the snow settles in for a few weeks.

hope your back playing soon mate. I on the other hand am sick of the winter already. considering taking a month off.

Ive taken the whole winter off mendie! Shame it wasnt my choice but i doubt i would be playing anyway, dont enjoy the game in the winter. Its time to work on putting for me as thats pretty much all my shoulder allows!

I hope it all works out ok.

I just hate playing meaning it means nothing, no consequence. could break the course record, would mean nothing - congrats only 4/5months before your impoved golf actually gets rewarded.#

and the bloody wind at the moment. i'd rather it be 0 degrees and calm!

Take your time, especially with the back. I'm not playing for three weeks as I'm away each weekend and haven't bothered to practice. No point in my mind if I'm not testing it on the course. Not actually missing it as much as I thought as I've been out a few nights per week too. Back to the range next week ready to play at Christmas and hope you're fit enough by then to get out and enjoy some golf. The snow will have melted by then! Just the rain and gales to worry about

Thats what I mean about not enjoying it in the winter. There is nothing to play for. Cant drop my Hcap, can only win a couple of quid of the lads which i could win watching the footy at home in the comfort of my Sofa and warmth of my flat rather than the wind and rain on the golf course!

Not played since mid October either but mostly due to the wet weather. Not planning to until after Christmas now, and if the course doesn't dry out by then probably February. Not missing it much at this time of year tbh. Enjoy doing a few different things Saturdays after doing "winter golf" for many a year. Hope you get fit soon though...snow or not!
