Putting woes - where to start

The thing that helped my putting the most was reading Putting Out Of Your Mind by Bob Rotella. It's just a mental thing, you have to learn that knocking one 4 feet past the hole isn't the worst thing in the world, and have more of a carefree mindset to hit through the ball rather than stab at it. The book looks to unclutter your mind, and yours seems pretty cluttered. It's just a case of picking a line, committing to it quickly and hitting the ball on that line essentially. Sounds simply, but I don't believe technical thoughts help at all when putting on the course.

For alignment problems I find you can’t beat a putting mat with a line down the middle.
Possibly a mirror as well .
Experiment and sort your starting line .
Back to basics.

Whenever my putting goes off I always revert to this drill.

Also, when I’m out on the course I never think about technique. Read the line and then putt the ball on the line you have chosen.
