Having real problems during the hot spell, especially hd channels, having to retune most nights , often more than once.

Any suggestions 😕

Not a lot you can do about it unfortunately. It's atmospherics, I'm having the same problems.
There is a big re-tune due on the 19th of this month.....they are changing a few things.
Might have "something" to do with it, but as I say, mine has been bad since the hot spell began. Even a new aerial hasn't sorted it out.

Sky has the same problem when t is very heavy rain so its back to either aerial or internet TV during the storms, for me.

I'm having a very specific problem with FreeView as well. E4 channel has disappeared! I can still get every other channel, including E4+1, but E4 just says it's 'unavailable' now. It's been like that for the last month actually. Not sure what happened.

As I mentioned above, Freeview are swapping a few things around at the moment which CAN mean loss of certain channels.
I have been advised by them to carry out a re-tune on the 19th of this month, which "should" find channels that have gone missing, along with some "possible" new ones.
Have a look on the Freeview website. It will tell all.

Oh I see, thanks. I actually tried a retune yesterday, but it found zero channels and lost everything so that buggered it right up! Luckily I went to the 'guide' bit and it brought them all back again (bar E4 which was still gone).

I just put my address in the checker on that link and it says:
"There are currently no technical changes to Freeview TV signals in your area.

We recommend retuning from time to time to get the most up to date channels in your area."

Oh well. :(

I was "prompted" to carry out a re-tune yesterday.
Held off until this morning due to the fact that my reception is not so good during the heat of the day due to the current atmospherics.
Picked up a lot more channels that the last time I re-tuned.
I'm expecting more prompts over the next few days until things settle down on the Freeview platform.
