Happening to me, range sessions are better now but I had a shock end to one then went out and shot 84, 39 points with 3 blobs!!

It is due to the range mat, your iron swing is not steep enough so you "Bounce" the club off line and it shanks it.

On the course you just hit it fat or low and hooking as the club slides into the ground.

Strange week here. Started off decent enough with 3 points on both of the first 2 holes then was really hit and miss. Blobbed on 3 holes & felt like I had played awful but.....

Ended up with 37 points!!

Thinking about it after I realised I made a lot of up and downs a few 1 putts and some great recovery shots so maybe I am getting there after all.
