Ford boot space

I have a two litre Mondeo Titanium X.
Removing the shelf the boot will take:- Two sets of clubs and luggage for four adults and one toddler plus toys and beach kit and other bits and pieces. It is, however, necessary to load the woods separately.
I'd love to have the new Mondeo which is getting very good reviews.

The Mondeo is the way forward, in my mates we had 4 sets of clubs and 4 holdalls and enough beer to fill a swimming pool with room to spare for the highlands trip. I recently got a new Kuga and I can only fit 1 bag in without removing driver etc at the back of the boot using the recesses on each side. It's perfect for me on my own with trolley and own gear but more troublesome with more bodies, can still fit plenty in right enough. When I'm replacing the wife's car in Sept, the Mondeo is firmly on the radar.

I have the mondeo at the moment and was looking to buy a new better quality German type car this year. However I am struggling to get al my gear in the boot of the cars I am looking at (audi a5 or Merc c class). never mind 2 sets, 2 trolleys as both me and the missus play.

The new VW Passat supposed to have the same boot space as the current Mondeo but will have to check them both out when they finally arrive in a showroom in Preston.

and as a footnote regarding the space in the Mondeo boot. we have had 2 bags of clubs, 2 trolleys, a tent and some other camping rubbish :)

I had an insignia a few years back when they first come out (as a company car) Boot was very decent, and plenty of space for all the usual stuff. The BMW I got after that was awful!!!

Got an Astra estate now, and the space is HUGE!!! Wouldn't go back to anything other than an estate now, very happy with it.

New Mondeo looks lovely though

You can get a Passat with a bigger boot for less money - it's called a Skoda Superb. You can even squeeze two bags and trolleys in the back of a Fabia estate (which is based on the VW Polo). All the Skoda models have bigger boots than the corresponding VWs.
