First team match today

Due to a shortage of players I was asked to play for my club this afternoon in a friendly match. Format was 4BBB with 3/4 difference from the lowest handicapper.
Despite my partner and I not playing to our best, we won 5&4 which helped the team gain a 4-2 win. Enjoyed the experience and will be putting my name down for the next team match.

I love playing in these type of matches. Not good enough for the elite A team but regularly play in these "friendly" affairs and until Saturday boasted an unbeaten record. Usually a great way to play other courses for a modest match fee, get some decent grub and have a good day out

I played my first this year in similar circumstances and wasn't sure if it would be for me or not. Loved it so much I played the rest of the season's matches and am hoping to play next year as well.
