Fantastic day today Fourth and final round of our Autumn Series with a Texas Scramble format. Shotgun start with presentations to follow. The team I was in won the 2nd round stroganoff competition but I was in different team today. Started well and just got better and better. What I love about a scramble is the lack of pressure on each shot. Normally I still lose a few balls but today I didn't lose one even though I was playing really aggressively. The whole way round I was being 'abused' for my 28 handicap status. It was a great team effort and we finished with a gross 64 for a nett 52.6 and second place.

Then to my surprise I individually placed third overall for the whole autumn series. I'm absolutely over the moon and hoping to take that relaxed feeling into next weeks medal. Now what to spend my vouchers on...

Sorry to crow but it's not that often I have something to crow about.

I believe now Bob! Didn't hit a tee shot on our par 5 2nd (as we needed to use someone else's drive). Hit a 250 yard 3 wood, followed by a 60 yard pitch to three feet and tapped in for the birdie. Was playing shots like that all day. Taking the confidence with me to next weeks medal!

Thanks to all for your support. Afraid I can't put this one down to the new shoes Rob not due to arrive till 9th December. Most definitely believing but also had much more fun in how I played the scramble! Joyous golf times ahead!

Must also say that our current club champion and Hambro team captain is a star. For the last weeks he has been asking me about birdies and encouraged me to go chasing them. Only just dawned on me that he was really saying Tiger you are good enough to score birdies go hunting for them. Love this game!
