We waited on the group in front of us a lot. Were right up their chuff all the way round. There was ball hunting going on in front, behind, in my group, pretty much every group we saw was trudging up and down the rough on the hunt at various points.

sadly I wont be joining you at Gleneagles. played in this today at Dunham Forest. great course in smashing weather. we played quite well and got it to 7under.

the winners were 13under with eagles at two of the par 4's. the pro must have been busting his driver and playing out of his skin. firm ground meant the course was playing shorter than usual.

got a few nerves on the first tee when my name was announced. all in all a great buzz though!

tied for 6th. not a bad showing! :thup:

He's not joking if it's the hole I'm thinking of. With the right wind direction, not the one we had on Wednesday, and a good bounce past the bunker then it can be on the green. We only got a par which was annoying as I hit the green with my second but missed the putt back by about 1 inch outside the cup.

That is some hole-in-one then as the green is completely blind from the tee and not where you think.
